About us

From Our Customers

This was our first visit and the service and staff were great. We got the premium beef combo for two people and the meat was so tender and delicious. It was definitely enough food for two people. The quality of the meat was definitely worth the price. Honestly overall this place is solid and the parking situation here is the best. Afterwards you always have the option to walk around the mall and grab coffee.

Went to this Korean BBQ spot that’s been getting all the buzz lately haha—an old-school favorite that just reopened in a better, more convenient location! The plaza it’s in is not only full of great food but also fun to explore. And yes, they validate parking for 3 hours free… in Ktown!! That alone deserves applause. The new space has a clean industrial vibe with great natural light—super photogenic. We were a group of three and ordered the Stone Grill Combo, which comes with thinly sliced brisket, beef belly, pork belly, and pork jowl. All the grilling was done tableside by staff, so you don’t have to stress about cooking it yourself. 🥩 The meats? Incredible. The brisket was thin and buttery, cooked instantly on the grill—perfect with the garlic dipping sauce. The beef belly had more fat, crisped up beautifully, and was ideal for wrapping in lettuce with some ssamjang. The pork belly was grilled together with bean sprouts and kimchi, which added that tangy, juicy kick—seriously delicious. And the pork jowl? Easily the chewiest, most satisfying bite of the set. Springy and full of texture. Loved how well-balanced this combo was! But the real surprise? How much free stuff you get. We were blown away: steamed egg, rice, salads, cucumber pickles, tofu, scallion salad, radish banchan—all included. And don’t even get me started on the sauces: ssamjang, sweet garlic, spicy radish soy, and more. I couldn’t even keep up with all the dipping options. All this for about $30–$40 per person, and we were stuffed. I honestly can’t remember the last time I went to a Korean BBQ place where one combo was enough to feed three people—usually even two people have to add extra meat.

Here’s the English translation of your review: ⸻ Recently went with some friends to try the newly opened Mountain San BBQ on the 3rd floor of Koreatown Plaza. The space is large and well-ventilated—no heavy greasy smell, and our clothes didn’t smell like BBQ afterwards, which I really appreciated. This time we ordered the Premium Beef Combo, which comes with four types of beef. The portion is generous and good for 2–3 people to share: 🥩 Beef Belly I quite liked this one. It’s cut with a nice balance of fat and lean meat—kind of like a beef version of pork belly. Once on the grill, the fat sizzles out and gets crispy if you cook it a bit longer, which adds great flavor. It can be a bit greasy with sauce, so I preferred wrapping it in lettuce with kimchi for a fresher bite. 🥩 Rib Eye Cut pretty thick, so you need to keep an eye on it while grilling. The marbling is beautiful—tender and juicy without being tough. I think it’s perfect at medium doneness: crispy on the outside, tender inside. This was my favorite of the four. 🥩 Short Rib (with sesame oil + salt) This one is simply seasoned, letting the natural flavor of the beef come through. There’s a bit of chewiness from the connective tissue, but not in a bad way. Dipping it in sesame oil adds a nice nutty touch—very satisfying. 🥩 Marinated Galbi A classic Korean-style marinated short rib with a sweet soy-based sauce. The flavor is exactly what you’d expect from Korean BBQ, with a nice bone-in texture. My friend really liked this one, though I personally found it a bit on the sweet side. 🍳 It also came with a pot of steamed egg and a bunch of side dishes (banchan). The banchan are refillable—I liked the kimchi, pickled radish, and bean sprouts a lot. Not too salty, very refreshing. The tofu was especially good—I asked for seconds twice 😆

took my three kids out to eat alone and had a fantastic experience at Mountain San KBBQ. No wonder this place has been popular in LA for over 50 years — it truly exceeded my expectations! 🥩 The meat was super fresh and generously portioned — great value, especially for families. 🔥 The best part? They do all the grilling for you! As a mom dining alone with three kids, this made everything so much easier. 🥗 The side dishes and salad bar were diverse and refillable. 🅿️ Free parking is available (park at P4). Just bring your parking ticket and scan it at the front desk after your meal. We ordered the Stone Grill Combo for $99 — the portion was huge, more than enough for one adult and three kids! Here’s what we got: 🐮 Thinly sliced brisket – super tender, melts in your mouth 🐮 Beef belly – beautifully marbled with a hint of milky aroma 🐷 Pork belly – grilled to a perfect crisp, so flavorful 🐷 Pork jowl – chewy and bouncy, with great texture Plus, we got free steamed egg and rice! My kids loved the egg so much they finished the broth too. The staff was incredibly attentive, the service was excellent, and the whole experience was stress-free and enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone — especially parents dining with kids! ‼️ Tip: This place is super popular, so go early or make a reservation in advance. 📍 Address: 928 S Western Ave, Fl 3, Los Angeles, CA 90006 (Restaurant is on the 3rd floor; parking is at P4.)

I had an amazing experience here and would definitely come back when I’m back in LA. I’m honestly surprised this place doesn’t have much reviews. It really deserves more attention. The meat was incredibly fresh and delicious. They have different types of combo for meat. They also offer a variety of dipping sauces, including special salts for beef and pork, which added a nice touch. If you’re not sure how things work, just ask. The server is very friendly and more than happy to help. Our server was taking care of 3 or 4 tables at the same time, but still managed to cook our meat perfectly. One thing we noticed was that most of the customers were Korean, which gave us even more confidence that the food would be authentic and high quality. Highly recommend trying this place.
